Quest: “Fool's Gold” — Leftherian Archipelago — Little Garden of Tradition (quest giver: Sheba). Quest ranges across Mor Ardain, Argentum, Gormott, Temperantia, Spirit Crucible Elpys, and Cliffs of Morytha.

How to get Sheba: Not a random pull. Sheba is awakened from the Inherited Core Crystal, purchasable for 500,000 G at Margia's Odds & Ends (Kassa's shop) in Torigoth, Gormott. If you talk to Kassa afterward with Sheba active, she rebates 250,000 G of the purchase price.

How the quest unlocks
Deposit a cumulative 1,000,000 G into Sheba's Piggy Bank, a treasure trove in Goldmouth Warehouse, Argentum (spawns with Sheba in the team; deposits of 200k/400k/600k/1,000k G unlock her Key Affinity levels 2-5). With her Lv 5 Key Affinity unlocked, visit the Little Garden of Tradition in the Leftherian Archipelago to start the quest. Xeno Series Wiki lists availability as 'Chapter 5 (after Zeke joins the party)'.

Walkthrough

  1. After the opening cutscene at Little Garden of Tradition (Sheba's 'island resort' is barren), head to the island merchant's house in the Admar Storage Zone, Alba Cavanich, Mor Ardain; a cutscene introduces Badile, a mother scammed the same way.
  2. Give 10,000 G to Badile in Admar Storage Zone (Sheba makes you repay the victim).
  3. Travel to Argentum and gather information at the Central Exchange — you must speak to Lutie.
  4. Salvage the Pretty Seashell at Goldmouth Flight Deck, Argentum, then give it to Lutie back at the Central Exchange.
  5. Infiltrate the Maelstrom (the ship at Goldmouth Flight Deck) — Sheba confronts the four black-feathered Nopon and kicks their ringleader Saisai into the distance.
  6. Search all four money barrels: Sauros's Bed in Gormott (Nopon Wisdom 2 / Keen Eye 3), around the Leaning Tower of Dorrick in Temperantia (NW 3 / KE 2), Wonder Spring Plaza Ruins in Spirit Crucible Elpys (NW 3 / KE 3), and Balquors Ruins in the Cliffs of Morytha (NW 2 / KE 4). All are empty of her gold.
  7. Return to the Maelstrom in Argentum and hear what the black-haired Nopon have to say.
  8. Dispatch the merc mission 'Black Nopon Search' (Sheba as leader; 1 each of Girls' Talk, Lockpicking, Eye for Beauty Lv 1+; 20 minutes, cut to 5 with Info Collector and Expeditionist Blades) to locate Saisai.
  9. Look for the black-haired Nopon at Ayvill Shopping District (rooftops), Alba Cavanich, Mor Ardain.
  10. Pursue Saisai across the rooftops — Lv 47 Altaer Drivers appear but can simply be run past — then watch the finale: Sheba kicks Saisai skyward, her gold rains over Alba Cavanich, and she throws a tea party open to all women.

Good to know

  • Sheba is infamously expensive: 500,000 G to buy her plus 1,000,000 G into the piggy bank (the rebate gives 250,000 back). Piggy-bank money is gone — the only refund is the post-quest trove after Sheba's Tea Party 5, which needs extreme field skill totals.
  • The piggy bank sometimes doesn't spawn on your first visit to Goldmouth Warehouse — rest at an inn with Sheba in the team and come back.
  • Even though the quest can start in Chapter 5, two of the four barrels are in Spirit Crucible Elpys (Ch 7) and the Cliffs of Morytha (Ch 8), so it cannot be finished before Chapter 8.
