How to get Kasandra: Guaranteed from the Lucky Core Crystal, dropped by the Lv 39 Gluttonous Marrin - a salvage-point enemy near Chansagh Wastes in Mor Ardain. First obtain the 'Greedy Monster' info (available after starting Chapter 4) from Razzlydazzly at Argentum's Goldmouth Exit Dock or any Informant; the Marrin then has a chance to appear when Rex salvages there. Wiki tip to raise enemy odds: use Normal Cylinders, unequip Blades with Salvaging Mastery, and deliberately fail the salvaging button prompts.

How the quest unlocks
Unlock Kasandra's Key Affinity (Affinity Chart) level 3, then rest at Coedwig Inn at Tretl Windmill Plaza in Gormott with Kasandra in the party - the quest starts automatically when she wakes craving Lucky Dawn Bread. Listed under 'Chapter 5 Started' on the wiki availability list with requirements 'Rest at Coedwig Inn' and 'Zeke joins party' (mid-Chapter 5); Xeno Series Wiki lists Nia, Tora, Morag, Zeke and Pyra in the party.

  • Fire Mastery Lv 3 + Wind Mastery Lv 3 (to destroy the toppled tree at Hushview Bridge - the check occurs TWICE during the quest)

  • Nia, Tora, Morag, Zeke, Pyra and Kasandra in the party (per Xeno Series Wiki) — Pyra is with you through Chapter 7 but absent during Chapters 8–9, so the window is Chapters 5–7 or from Chapter 10

Walkthrough

  1. After the quest triggers at Coedwig Inn, buy the Lucky Dawn Bread (120 G) at Tilly Bakery in Gormott - it is only sold at dawn, 5:00-6:59, so rest to change the time.
  2. Head to the fountain at Tretl Windmill Plaza, then hear what the Tilly Bakery owner has to say after the accident wrecks the bakery.
  3. Call on Otto at Saets Lumber Co. (you must speak to Arfon), then search for Otto at Nocclia Timber Site.
  4. Use field skills to destroy the toppled tree at Hushview Bridge - Fire Mastery Lv 3 + Wind Mastery Lv 3 check - then hear out Kupon there.
  5. Rescue Otto at Tirkin Turf: defeat a Lv 38 Skom Tirkin and two Lv 38 Matchul Tirkins, then help Otto (the other Tirkin in the area can be ignored).
  6. Head back to Saets Lumber Co., then speak to Attas at Tretl Windmill Plaza.
  7. Look for Kupon at Hushview Bridge again and destroy a second toppled tree (the same Fire Mastery 3 + Wind Mastery 3 check), then hear him out.
  8. Get back the stolen goods at Tirkin Turf: defeat a Lv 38 Skom Tirkin, two Lv 38 Matchul Tirkins and a Lv 38 Bruis Tirkin - then the same group immediately attacks again, and then a third time (three consecutive waves).
  9. Recover the stolen goods, hand them over to Kupon at Hushview Bridge, and report to Attas at Tilly Bakery in Tretl Windmill Plaza to finish.

Good to know

  • The Lucky Dawn Bread can only be bought between 5:00 and 6:59 (dawn) - if the bakery does not stock it, change the in-game time.
  • The Fire Mastery 3 + Wind Mastery 3 tree check appears twice - keep enough Fire and Wind Blades on your Drivers for both passes.
  • The final stolen-goods battle at Tirkin Turf is three back-to-back waves of the same Lv 38 Tirkin group with no break, so pace your Specials and healing.
