Before you start
Story progress
Chapter 3 or later
Chapter 3 (Xeno Series Wiki: 'after beginning Chapter 3'; Fandom's quest page states only 'Electra obtained'). It cannot be COMPLETED until Chapter 7+, since trainers are in Tantal and Leftheria.
How the quest unlocks
Triggers automatically via cutscene when you enter Torigoth Market with Electra in the party (quest giver is Electra herself) — no affinity-chart 'unlock quest' node. Fandom lists only 'Electra obtained' as the prerequisite; Xeno Series Wiki is more precise: Chapter 3 must have begun and Nia, Tora, Pyra and Electra must be in the party. Completing the quest is what unlocks the level-5 tier of her Specials, and the quest itself advances her Mastery of Thunder field skill from Lv1 to Lv5.
Field skill checks
- Electric Mastery Lv4 + Mastery of Thunder Lv1 (Uboon, Garfont Village, Uraya)
- Electric Mastery Lv5 + Mastery of Thunder Lv1 (Coocana, Fonsett Island, Leftheria)
- Electric Mastery Lv3 + Mastery of Thunder Lv2 (Charli, Torigoth, Gormott)
- Electric Mastery Lv6 + Mastery of Thunder Lv2 (Millod, Hardhaigh Palace, Mor Ardain)
- Electric Mastery Lv2 + Mastery of Thunder Lv3 (Fortis, Theoscaldia Palace, Tantal)
- Electric Mastery Lv7 + Mastery of Thunder Lv3 (Ookiooki, Rigitte Waters, Leftheria)
- Electric Mastery Lv10 + Mastery of Thunder Lv1, then a second night-only check of Electric Mastery Lv10 + Mastery of Thunder Lv4 (Puzzling Machine, Salvage Deck, Argentum)
Also required
- Nia, Tora, Pyra and Electra in the party to start (Xeno Series Wiki) and again to interact with the Puzzling Machine in Argentum
- Mastery of Thunder is Electra's exclusive field skill and levels up only through this quest's 'Lord of Thunder' training
Walkthrough
- Enter Torigoth Market with Electra to trigger the opening cutscene: asked to help a child (Izzi), she overloads, shocks him and the party, and runs off in tears.
- Catch up with Electra three times across Gormott — Plains of Evening Calm, then Garanti Plain, then Seigle Fell (Neoseeker's route) — where the party promises to help her train.
- 'Lord of Thunder' training: raise Electra's Mastery of Thunder to Lv5 by clearing checks with the six trainers across Alrest (the seventh and final check is the Puzzling Machine — next step) — Uboon (Garfont Village, Uraya: Electric Mastery 4/MoT 1), Coocana (Fonsett Island, Leftheria: EM 5/MoT 1), Charli (Torigoth: EM 3/MoT 2), Millod (Hardhaigh Palace, Mor Ardain: EM 6/MoT 2), Fortis (Theoscaldia Palace, Tantal: EM 2/MoT 3), Ookiooki (Rigitte Waters, Leftheria: EM 7/MoT 3).
- Finish training at the Puzzling Machine on Argentum's Salvage Deck: first check Electric Mastery 10 + MoT 1, then a second check (night only) of Electric Mastery 10 + MoT 4 — Nia, Tora, Pyra and Electra must all be in the party to interact.
- Return to Torigoth and look for the youth Electra shocked — only Mina in Galad Residential Zone needs to be spoken to.
- Search for Izzi, who went to Koorell Pool: the entrance is a hole you jump down behind the Lv 90 Immovable Gonzalez north of Nocclia Timber Site (the Verdant Plateau path also branches there).
- Defeat the Lv 50 Nanda Arachno menacing Izzi at Koorell Pool.
- Escort Izzi back to Torigoth Market to finish — Electra's new control finally makes someone happy.
Good to know
- The Electric Mastery Lv10 checks at Argentum are the wall: party-wide electric field skill total of 10 means stacking multiple leveled Electric Blades. Plan your team before flying around.
- The second Puzzling Machine interaction is night-only AND requires the exact party of Nia, Tora, Pyra and Electra — a classic missed trigger.
- Koorell Pool's entrance is hidden: jump into the hole behind the Lv 90 Immovable Gonzalez (don't wake him). Trainers span five nations including Tantal's palace, so you can start this in Gormott but only finish it Chapter 7 or later.
