Quest: “Lost Kingdom” — Starts at Midorl Bridge, Empire of Mor Ardain (quest giver: Dagas himself), evening only (16:00–18:59). Objectives span Argentum, Gormott, Uraya, Mor Ardain, Tantal, Leftheria and Temperantia.

How to get Dagas: Random pull from Core Crystals (Rare Blade, rarity 2, source listed as "Random Core Crystal"). No specific pull odds are published on the wiki. Starts with 1 aux core slot; gains 3 after his quest awakening.

Before you start

Story progress
Chapter 5 or later
Both wikis file it under Chapter 5 (after Zeke joins); the Blue Blood Heart-to-Heart in Leftheria is reachable then, though the Temperantia objective needs Chapter 6+. Pyra/Mythra are absent during Chapters 8–9, so realistically do it in Chapters 5–7 or from Chapter 10.
How the quest unlocks
Unlock Dagas's Key Affinity Reward Lv 5 (Lv 4 requires speaking to Dagas at the Argentum inn then viewing the Heart-to-Heart "Blue Blood" at Orl Cloudway: Fonsett in Leftheria; Lv 5 then needs 3,800 Trust). Then talk to Dagas at Midorl Bridge in Mor Ardain during the EVENING (16:00–18:59) with Pyra or Mythra in the party. Note: Dagas's own affinity chart mistakenly says "afternoon" — the wiki explicitly flags this error.

Walkthrough

  1. With Dagas's Key Affinity Lv 5 unlocked, talk to Dagas at Midorl Bridge, Mor Ardain, in the evening (16:00–18:59) with Pyra/Mythra in the party to accept the quest.
  2. Buy "Brief History of Alrest" from Reedirait Bookstore in Argentum (1,800 G), then complete the sub-quest Dagas's Past: Leftheria — mine both spots on the Isle of Sleeping Remains (north: Focus 6 + Keen Eye 2; south: Earth Mastery 5 + Fortitude 5).
  3. Buy "History of Gormott" from Haskefell Books in Alba Cavanich, Mor Ardain (2,500 G), then complete Dagas's Past: Gormott — talk to chief Edgar at the Saets Chief's Residence in Gormott.
  4. Buy the "Lost People's Tablet" from Biblio Paulio in Theosoir, Tantal (1,000 G), then complete Dagas's Past: Tantal — excavate three tablet fragments in the Genbu Drifts (Great Pillar Passage: Focus 5 + Fortitude 4; Yolmunder's Crevasse: Earth Mastery 7 + Keen Eye 4; Pillar City Ruins: Focus 4 + Keen Eye 3), then assemble the tablet in front of Biblio Paulio.
  5. Only after those three sub-quests are done, Aldomar Books in Fonsa Myma, Uraya stocks "The Mystery Continent" (4,200 G); buy it and complete Dagas's Past: Folktales — investigate Dalnes Stone at Blackday Peninsula, Temperantia, then salvage in Temperantia until you get the Regiderian Tablet.
  6. Dispatch a Merc Group on "The Beast of Regideria" from Leftheria (1× Info Collector Lv 1+, 1× Ancient Wisdom Lv 2+, 2× Expeditionist Lv 1+; 20 minutes, cut to 5 with Keen Eye/Fortitude/Superstrength) to learn a Behemoth destroyed the kingdom of Regideria.
  7. Talk to Carchal at the Ardainian Garrison in Temperantia.
  8. Go to the hill near the Ardainian Garrison in the early morning (05:00–07:00) — after this scene Dagas awakens: his affinity chart is replaced and upgraded.
  9. Defeat the Arrogant Behemoth (Lv 55, quest-exclusive boss) on the Temperantia coast near Triedge Isle, then the quest completes.

Good to know

  • Easily-missed trigger: the quest can ONLY be accepted in the evening (16:00–18:59) at Midorl Bridge — Dagas's own affinity chart wrongly says "afternoon", an error the wiki explicitly documents. Change the clock at a landmark if he isn't there.
  • This quest is infamously field-skill-heavy: across the sub-quests you need checks up to Focus 6, Earth Mastery 7, Fortitude 5 and Keen Eye 4, so bring a deep Blade roster (and note the Uraya book won't even appear in Aldomar Books until the other three sub-quests are finished).
  • Completing the quest resets Dagas's affinity chart progress in exchange for the much stronger awakened chart — plan to re-earn his nodes, which have easier prerequisites afterward.
